Aditi Ashok out of medal contention in Rio Olympics

On the penultimate day at the Rio 2016 Olympics, Aditi Ashok was the lone Indian in action and after a promising start in women’s golf, the Indian slipped to finish 41st. Elsewhere, Lee Chong Wei lost Chen Long in the men’s badminton gold medal match. Late in the night, Neymar-led Brazil seek redemption of a demoralising and humiliating 7-1 loss to Germany at the World Cup when they face-off in the football gold medal match. Aditi Ashok finishes Final Round. Great effort by the Indian golfer.

Aditi Ashok is an Indian professional golfer, made history be being the youngest and first Indian to win the Lalla Aicha Tour School and therefore secure her Ladies European Tour card for the 2016 season. This win also made her the youngest winner of a Q School for an international tour. Aditi is the first and the only Indian golfer who played the Asian Youth Games (2013), Youth Olympic Games (2014) and Asian Games (2014).
