Hundreds of Victorians have lined Melbourne’s Bourke Street Mall to welcome home Australia’s Olympic athletes.
Sixty Australian Olympians marched in the official welcome home parade to celebrate their achievements at the Rio Games.
Victorian athletes included gold medal winners Mack Horton and Catherine Skinner, as well as walker Jared Tallent and basketballers Matthew Dellavadova and Andrew Bogut.
The athletes, dressed in their green-and-gold track suits, and accompanied by Brazilian drummers and dancers, took time to stop and speak to the crowds.
Sydney has already had its official event but parades are planned for every other capital city in Australia.
